Breast Cancer Awareness Month Events

My “Confessions…” blog usually deals with Alzheimer’s, but for October which is Breast Cancer Awareness month I will show some love and shed some light on a few events and organizations that are all about BC awareness. Because whether it’s Alzheimer’s or Cancer, awareness is the first step in taking action.

There are many amazing organizations such as my fave, Boarding For Breast Cancer a foundation dedicated to providing education, prevention and support programs for young people and the action sports community at large. With many programs to their credit such as “Check One, Two” Campus Outreach, Skate-the-Lake, Shred the Love Fundraisers and the “It’s Personal Campaign”, their vision is inspiring a healthier, happier you with a board sports point of view.

Beats for Boobs™ is an all-volunteer organization that grants financial support to local breast cancer non-profits that provide direct services to people battling breast cancer and survivors, promote prevention or offer breast health education.

Beats for Boobs™ will host events in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. For event and ticket information click here.
